This 40ft bespoke multidoor unit supplied to our longstanding clients in the West Country is a perfect solution for Andrew and Matt to offer smaller unit sizes at their container self-storage facility. These units are a great option for ends of rows and following perimeter/boundary fences.
Having ordered 20ft 1 trip shipping containers and 8ft new shipping containers in dark green RAL 6007 for this particular site, after detailed discussions with our Director Dominic Coy on Boxtor’s multidoor offering, they decided to place an order for this bespoke 40ft with 6 x individual storage units.
Our clients requested that the single access doors be made as wide as possible, with ‘Easy Open’ Door handles to match the other containers they have on site, offering uniformity and ease of use for every storage unit at this facility.

Photos here show how this unit was delivered to the facility, being lifted over the fence from outside the site and placed onto the concrete pads. An articulated HIAB with a heavy lift crane was used for this to ensure the 40ft multidoor container was safely delivered and sited.

Lead times: As they are made to order, they usually carry around a 13-14 week lead time from confirmed order to delivery on site.
Did you know? These units are ‘shipped empty’, without cargo inside them, as the steel divider walls and lack of cargo doors on the ends mean they are freighted empty to the UK, with shipping lines choosing not to load cargo within this type of shipping container.
What does this mean? As they do not carry cargo, the inside walls, paint and flooring will be immaculate as they arrive in the UK in as-new condition. Like any shipping container, they may show slight scratches/scuffs on the corner posts etc but we will do our best to touch them up at our depots prior to delivery, as we understand appearance is key for our clients.
