NEW CONTAINERS FOR SELF STORAGE
When supplying self-storage facilities, the Boxtor team recommends using 1 trip (new) containers only for this sole purpose. It offers you peace of mind and maximum longevity/ lifespan. Shipping containers are built to last, and when you buy a 1 trip/ new unit, you will get a minimum of 25 years use out of a new build container.
air flow
All our new containers come with plenty of air vents for maximum air flow. This in turn helps reduce the risk of condensation building up inside the container. If you wish, you can apply Grafo- therm treatment to the inside of the container ceiling, which will prevent any condensation at all from building up. We can quote for this on your container, so let us know if it is a requirement.
flooring
Our new containers also have black, sp coated ‘easy wipe’ flooring, which is great for self-storage use and looks really smart!
doors/locbox
Our brand new 20ft containers come with three locking bars ‘easy open’ doors with high waist locking handles (with a rubber coated right handed lever). This door type is great for a self-storage site customers/ users as they are much easier to open and close when using the container more frequently. Compare this to the traditional 4 locking bar doors, which are slightly harder to open and close but some people prefer that! All our new containers also come with a factory fitted slimline lockbox. This steel security cowl helps protect the padlock inside a ‘steel housing’, preventing intruders from easily being able to cut the lock off with a saw/ angle grinder etc.

We recently supplied Chris with two brand new 20ft dark blue RAL 5013 shipping containers from our East London depot. Chris runs a Surrey based indoor self-storage site, with six different storage unit sizes available, with 25 square foot units up to 100 square foot. Like many indoor self-storage site operators, Chris now wants to add outdoor, containerized ‘drive up’ units to his site.
Chris got in touch with Boxtor, and we gladly assisted in supplying two dark blue RAL 5013 1 trip containers. We hope to supply Chris and his team with more new containers in the near future, as he looks to add more shipping containers to his site!
