Boxengasse is a destination in the English countryside dedicated to the Porsche marque, offering a one-stop hub for services, restoration, hospitality, and events for Porsche enthusiasts. It was founded by Frank Cassidy and features 100 acres of outdoor space and over 55,000 square feet of built-up premises for servicing and restorations. The facility hosts popular events like the annual Megaphonics air-cooled Porsche reunion.

Frank Cassidy reached out to our Sales Director, Dominic Coy, who handled the whole process from point of enquiry to delivery to site with HIAB lorry. Frank and Dom discussed the wide variety of various paint colour options Boxtor offers to our client base.

PLATFORM FLAT USED AS A MOBILE STAGE
Boxengasse required a brand new 20ft platform flat container to act as a smart, robust and moveable steel deck (platform) to act as a ‘show stage’ and showcase the New Singa Supersport modified, bespoke Porche classic car. These cars sell for north of £1million on the classic car market!

WHAT IS A PLATFORM FLAT CONTAINER?
A platform flat container is a specialised shipping container designed for oversized or heavy loads.
It features a reinforced steel or wooden deck but no side walls or roof, making it ideal for carrying large machinery, vehicles, or awkwardly shaped items that can’t fit inside a standard shipping container.
Cargo is typically secured using straps or chains and loaded with cranes or forklifts for stability and safety during transport.
The platform’s flooring, also known as its ‘Deck’ is usually made of steel. The former being preferred as steel decked platforms are more robust and heavy duty, for carrying larger and heavier cargo.

From initial enquiry to point of delivery, the entire project was carried out in just over 2 weeks, including delivery and placement on site in time for the big event.
