John from Essex based firm Ardent Scaffolding, a returning Boxtor client, enquired about the purchase of a 20ft office container. After previously ordering one of our 1 trip 20ft dark green containers for on site storage use at his yard, he know required a office unit that could allow for his staff to work from the yard space in Essex.

WHAT IS A ‘USED’ & ‘REFURBISHED’ OFFICE CONTAINER?
When acquiring an office container, you don’t have to go for a brand new one. You also don’t have to go for one that looks old, tired and a little bit ‘past its sell by date’. At Boxtor we offer brand new office containers (modified by taking a 1 trip new container and then we insert side access Kirncroft door, add Anti Vandal Windows, install electrics / heaters and additional windows etc upon request!). In this instance, John wanted to keep costs down and go for a ‘Refurbished’ 20ft office cabin. This is a more cost effective, sustainable option as a 20ft used container has been modified as per the photos shown
For this case study for Ardent Scaffolding, we refurbished an old 20ft ex shipping line container and installed the following additions/ modifications to ensure this office unit ‘ticket all the boxes’ for our client!
External:
- 2 x steel kirncroft lockable access doors
- 2 x steel anti vandal windows with external shutters
- Unit externally resprayed in RAL 6007 bottle green paint
Internal:
- New Lino wood effect flooring
- 4 x DG power sockets
- 1 x electric heater
- Canteen section with Sink / tap and hot water heater
- LED Strip lighting
- New internal walls and coat hooks
The unit was delivered to Ardent Scaffoldings yard in Essex with a rigid HIAB lorry and double stacked on top of his 20ft container with stacking pins.
