Boxtor was proud to be involved in the supply of 20 x 20’ 1 trip (new) high specification shipping containers for a growing self storage facility in Kent.
Dale got in touch with Boxtor to enquire about the purchase of an additional 20 x 20’ new containers in RAL 5010 gentian Blue. As this is a colour we don’t always supply, we manufactured these units in the requested colour for Dale and his facility. Our main colours we bring into the UK for our customers is RAL 6007 Bottle (Dark) Green and RAL 5013 Cobalt (Dark) Blue.
Our units come with 18 air vents for maximum air flow, 3 locking bar ‘easy open’ doors, PSF coated easy clean flooring and a factory fitted slimline lockbox for security.

About this delivery
This self storage facility has both ground level and upper level 20ft shipping containers. The upper level 20ft units have been very cleverly set back by 4ft, meaning there is a 4ft section of unit that ‘hangs over the edge’ but is supported by bespoke steel beams, which they manufactured on-site as their other business is steel fabrication and coatings for metalworks. This steel support system meant that when we delivered our containers, we simply lifted them onto the upper level, and the containers slotted into place.
We work closely with a number of dedicated and trusted HIAB haulage firms who often run with trucks that also do not have a crane (known as an articulated flat bed/ skeleton trailer). This allows us to deliver large numbers of containers to self-storage sites in a shorter timeframe. We have been known to deliver up to 30 x 20ft containers in a single day to a single site!
For Dale and his team, we delivered in two batches of 10 x 20’ at a time to allow for effective positioning on site.
