40ft High cube shipping containers are the largest size we supply. They are the most common size used for global shipping as they provide ample storage space for palletised goods and large, bulky cargo.
The high cube option provides 1 foot of extra height (9ft 6 high container). This allows fork lift trucks to load/ unload the container by actually driving inside the unit to lift the pallets onto the forks. You will often see 40ft high cubes filled with goods in China such as furniture, heavy machinery and palletised goods including food and beverage crates.
All our new (1 trip from China) 40ft high cube containers come with a factory fitted slimline lockbox, several air vents, black ‘easy wipe’ 27 mm marine grade flooring and a 5 year valid CSC certification for global shipping. Available in a variety of colours including RAL 5010 BLUE, RAL 7035 & 7040 GREY and occasionally even RAL 6007 GREEN. Our used 40ft high cubes are graded as wind and watertight/ cargo worthy and come with a 12 month wind and watertight guarantee.
CUSTOMER REQUIREMENT
NAP Anglia, a Norfolk based construction firm, required additional storage at their site in Diss, Norfolk. They already had a 20ft container on site but needed something much larger to store machinery, tools and crates. One thing the customer stressed is that they needed a container which would help prevent condensation build up inside during the winter months. Immediately, we suggested that they must choose a new (1 trip) 40ft high cube container, and then apply GRAFO THERM treatment on site to the interior roof of the unit.
WHAT IS GRAFO-THERM?
Grafo-therm is an anticondensation coating which is a long term cost effective solution to help prevent and treat dripping roof condensation during winter months and big changes in temperature.
Grafo-therm has been used within domestic garages, cold stores, aircraft storage hangars, classic and luxury car garages and warehouse facilities to name a few! Shipping containers are now most definitely on this list, with more and more customers requesting grafo-therm is applied to the unit to
ensure peace of mind when storing high value goods inside them.
tHE END RESULT
Boxtor supplied our customer with 1 x NEW (1 trip) RAL 5010 BLUE 40FT HIGH CUBE shipping container. We delivered it within 5 days of the order taking place, using an articulated HIAB crane lorry to offload the container and position it adjacent to the other one on site. We then sent Lee, our mobile grafo specialist, directly to site the following day to apply the GRAFO-THERM treatment to the inside of the container.
