Boxtor recently supplied 1 x no. new (1 trip) 20ft container in RAL 5013 dark blue to Garden Fields School in St Albans.
Neilson initially enquired with Boxtor to try and position a container about 24 metres away from where the HIAB lorry would be able to put its legs down and offload. Unfortunately the area where this unit needed to go initially required a huge heavy lift crane (due to distance far exceeding a HIAB lorry crane reach). Mobile heavy lift cranes have daily hire costs in the region of £1500- £2500 depending on crane contractor for a 1 day hire!!
Most Hiab lorries only offer a maximum reach of between 12 metres – 15 metres depending on crane type / lorry type and size of container. This is based on the container being empty.
After careful consideration, both Boxtor and Garden Field School agreed that the most cost effect solution was to find a space where the HIAB lorry could easily offload the unit, without the need of any specialist lifting crane (which would put the price of the job through the roof!).
We supplied one of our brand new (1 trip from Far East factory) 20ft shipping containers in a smart RAL 5013 cobalt blue paint colour.
Our new 20ft units all come with 3 locking bar ‘easy open’ doors, PSF flooring, numerous air vents on all doors/ side panels for great ventilation. Slimline lockboxes are factory fitted as standard. The floors are made of bamboo (eco friendly) and have a PSF coating (easy to clean).
Lee our friendly driver positioned the container with ease, and used some additional wooden blocks to ensure the container is entirely level.
Key hint: always try and have some small blocks of wood when you accept a container delivery. This can help to level the container if the ground the unit is going on is not entirely flat/ level!
Thank you to our customer Garden Fields School for the glowing testimonial
