Providing sancturary to those displaced by the current conflict in Ukraine. Over 10 million people have been forced to leave their homes due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine in 2022. 1 in 4 Ukranian children have been displaced by war. 90% are women and children and those from vulnerable groups. 350,000 have no access to education and 46% of this have limited access to clean water. Poland has accepted over 2.65 million Ukranian refugees, with Romania taking in over 750,000.
HOW OUR SHIPPING CONTAINERS ARE BEING PUT TO GOOD USE WITH STELLING PROPERTIES/ REHAUSE CONCEPT:
Stelling Properties contacted Boxtor to provide them with a 20ft NEW (1 trip) RAL 6007 dark green shipping container. They required the container to have 14 air vents, the 3 bar ‘easy open’ locking doors and to be externally painted in RAL 6007 bottle green. 20ft shipping containers provide an ideal ‘structural framework’ to enable a huge number of modification works/ designs & projects to be housed within them. The ability to shorten, lengthen and adapt a shipping container results in truly eye opening projects that revolve around this rather traditional steel box.
The corrugated wall panels, frame, cargo doors, and cross members of metal shipping containers are all made from Corten steel. This special type of steel, also known as weathering steel, is the primary material in shipping containers.
The unit will help to provide secure, safe, robust and warm accommodation for displaced people around the world using a self contained living accommodation module.
Rehaus and Stelling Properties have worked together to develop a relocatable, mobile living solution that can be deployed anywhere in the world at short notice and can play a significant role in delivering an appropriate housing solution.

The self contained shipping container modules can be easily transported by HIAB crane lorry/ rail freight or by container ship and are delivered complete with all services fitted, meaning they are ready to go ‘on the ground’. As soon as they arrive, they can be connected to power, water and waste making them quickly inhabitable. The units can be configured for the immediate need of those displaced and for the people
assisting them.

We have delivered 3 x 20ft units so far to their Winchester factory, where they have gone to be fully modified into these mobile relief shelters.
