At Boxtor, we have more than just standard shipping containers in our fleet. We can provide a number of specialised containers to cater for a wide array of industries and sectors.
OPEN TOP SHIPPING CONTAINERS
Our open top containers are part of our specialised equipment range. They are ideal for transporting oversized and overheight cargo. If you need to ship bulk freight that simply won’t fit into a standard shipping container, then half height and full height open top containers are the perfect solution.
Manufactured using the same materials and specifications as a standard 20’ and 40’ container, ‘open tops’ have the metal roof removed and replaced with a tarpaulin cover, to ensure it remains watertight. The tarpaulin canvas roof offers extra height and capacity inside the container for a variety of different shipping uses.
Ideal for loading and unloading via crane or ‘crab’ bucket overhead, or via the steel container doors at one end. Open Top containers normally have a moving or detachable top frame above the doors.They are often used to transport machinery, timber, steel and scrap metal to name a few!

20’ OPEN SIDE SHIPPING CONTAINER
Open Siders or ‘Full side access’ containers incorporate not only standard cargo doors, but multiple cargo doors down one side of the container that open fully to allow unobstructed access.
These 20’ specialised containers are a fantastic option when you need to access stored goods quickly, without having to empty the container.
Ideal for loading pallets and bulky/ awkward sized items, these side opening containers provide the best solution for easy access to your stored goods.
They are also a very popular option nowadays for use as pop up bars, food outlets, retails outlets at sports events and festivals and mobile ticketing/ medical units.
REFRIGERATED SHIPPING CONTAINERS (REEFERS)
Our range of new and used refrigerated containers are available for both sale and long term hire.
Reefers are ideal for cold storage, including the safe and legal transportation of perishables, frozen goods and pharmaceutical products.
They come in 20’ and 40’ lengths and are delivered directly to your site. We can provide both operating and non operating reefers.
Thermostatically controlled and with a temperature range from -25 to + 20 degrees celsius. You can maintain a variable temperature 24/7 of your goods.These versatile specialist shipping containers are the best way to transport temperature sensitive freight.
CABINS FOR HIRE
We can supply businesses and individuals with unique, high quality portable offices, cabins (canteen or standard office type) and portable loos. These units can be hired on both short and long term rental contracts through our suppliers.Our site offices/ welfare units are available for sale and hire in open plan format or a 50/50 split, with an internal partition wall
