At Boxtor, we completely understand your concerns when purchasing shipping containers online for the very first time. In this world of online scams and fake websites, its very difficult to know who to trust (ie who is a legitimate company) versus someone who is a scammer.
In the case of our clients Craig and Lia, they had unfortunately been victims to an online shipping container scam. In today’s day and age, purchasing from a company that is trustworthy, reputable and delivers on what they say they will do is vitally important. When they got in touch with us over the phone, we wanted to ensure they were in good hands and put their minds at ease!
Why Boxtor?
Established in 1997, we have been supplying containers for nearly 30 years and are wholly owned by our parent company (Containental Ltd) who have been supplying and manufacturing containers for over 50 years!
Our team of Peter, Dominic and Nicola ensure that our number one priority is customer service & satisfaction on each container delivery to our valued clients.
Boxtor is an official supplier member of the Self Storage Association (SSA) and this has been the case for nearly 4 years now and counting!
We are nationally recognised for being a legitimate and reputable, trustworthy supplier of high-quality shipping containers. We have also been exhibiting at the Self Storage Association National Self Storage conference for the last 3 years, and are exhibiting again this year with nationwide Staircase Supplier/ Manufacturer: Limitless Fabrications. About this Project
We recently supplied 2 x 20’ 1 trip dark green RAL 6007 shipping containers into a VERY restricted access property!
After careful consultation between Dominic (Director of Boxtor) and Craig and Lia (our client), we ensured we had all the correct information to hand regarding access of the driveway, restricted height of the overhead trees and foliage en route into the property. Our client sent us whatsapp videos and photos of the approach road showing all relevant access points and overhead trees etc.
Most importantly, the width of the access road to the house itself was extremely tight (the photos below show this!) so these measurements were crucial to ensure access was achievable. Luckily Dan our driver is highly skilled and manoeuvred his rigid HIAB lorry into the property with inches to spare either side!
Did You Know
We can sometimes leave the trailer of the ‘wagon and drag’ type lorry in a nearby layby and then send the rigid lorry in ‘1 by 1’. This will alter the delivery costs slightly as it is a timely exercise that requires a decent size of layby with enough room to transfer the units from trailer to rigid truck. The area also needs to be safe to allow for a trailer to be left. If this is not possible, delivery must be done on separate trips which will push prices up!
Gallery
See below some photos of this delivery, where each 20ft new container was delivered one at a time with the rigid HIAB lorry. As you can see, there was very little space each side of the truck whilst it reversed into the property! No challenge is too great for our hauliers as long as their trucks can get into a site!
