Boxtor recently completed a job for our client who required a new (1 trip) 30ft long container.
30ft containers are not a standard size, so they have to be modified by cutting down a larger 40ft long shipping container. This is known as a ‘cut down’ unit. See our blog article on 30ft cut down containers
About This Order
Our client TBS reached out to Boxtor as they required this shortened length of unit. We worked closely with TBS to ensure the product they received was exactly as expected.
Requirements
- The unit had to be NEW (1 trip), as our client is going to use this container for over 20 years of storage. We therefore supplied our mods team with a brand new 40ft standard height container.
- It was repainted in RAL 6007 dark green.
- The original cargo doors were welded on and reapplied to the container.
- Delivery was made with flat bed truck (to keep costs down as using a truck without crane is cheaper!) as our client TBS could offload using their own forklift truck on site.
