Our client TT Surveys has been using Boxtor for a number of years. We supply them with brand new mini 6’, 8’ and 10’ ‘shipping specification’ containers for use on board offshore rigs and offshore marine survey ships.
T.T. Surveys (TTS) is an independently owned company, specialising in the hire of high resolution seismic equipment across the globe. They were formed in 1984, with TTS being created to provide specialised seismic acquisition services for the site survey industry. Since then, TTS has developed and now has expanded to offer the hire a vast & comprehensive range of seismic equipment packages.
TTS owns all its equipment, which is available for hire, and along with various rental options can provide advice on equipment selection, project planning and logistics.
TT Surveys always require the units to be new (1 trip), RAL 5013 (dark blue) and fitted with lockboxes. The units are made of Corten Steel, which helps prevent corrosion from taking place when the containers are out at sea/ on research vessels. These units must be manufactured to the highest standards to ensure they are safe for shipping & lifting.
All the containers have forklift pockets so that they can be transported easily from flatbed lorry around their yard. They also have lifting points so that cranes can be used to load/ unload them onto the research vessels. We have supplied our client with these units from our Birmingham, Felixstowe and Southampton depots.
